Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday

Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday at Taylor-Brawner Park (3180 Atlanta Road, Smyrna Ga 30080) will be kicking off on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 5pm. Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday runs from 5pm to 9pm. The final Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday will be held on September 30th. The City of Smyrna, Georgia Power and Cobb Travel & Tourism (Atlanta’s Sweet Spot) have “powered” up to bring you Food Truck Tuesday along with lots of entertainment and fun.

Locally residents have been eagerly awaiting the return of the food trucks to the Taylor-Brawner Park. As was the case last season, parking around Taylor-Brawner Park does fill up early and they ask that everyone pay careful attention to how and where they park. At/after 5:00 you can park in the Community Bank of the South parking lot and take the multi-use trail to Brawner Park.

Remember you can always keep up to date with the latest trucks and info at www.facebook.com/SmyrnaFoodTruckTuesdays

There are a few of things to remember.

If you generally visit the play area or park in that area on Tuesdays, please remember that parking will stop a little bit before 4:00 p.m. to allow for safe and swift setup of the trucks.

If you can walk or bike to Food Truck Tuesdays, please plan to do so. You will enjoy it and your community-minded efforts will allow a visitor to experience Smyrna and our wonderful Taylor-Brawner Park as well as the food trucks.

Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays are recycling friendly. Look for recycling containers and help us all keep the park clean.

22nd annual “Swing into Spring” Golf Tournament

8:00 amto2:00 pm

Brookstone-Country-Club

Emory-Adventist Hospital’s 22nd annual “Swing into Spring” Golf Tournament will take place Monday, May 5, 2014 at Brookstone Golf & Country Club in Acworth.

Registration and range opens at 8:00 a.m.

All participant registration includes greens fee, scramble format golf, shared golf cart, range balls, a sleeve of golf balls, a Foundation gift bag, one fantasy golf card, one door prize ticket, and entry into other course contests. Breakfast will be provided for each participant along with food and beverages at the awards reception.

Brookstone Golf & Country Club’s 6,815-yard, par-72 championship layout was designed by Larry Nelson to take full advantage of the landscape’s natural contours and breathtaking beauty. With large mature trees, this course has moderately tight fairways with large, rolling Champions hybrid greens. Ponds, lakes, and creeks come into play on half of the course. The signature hole is #14, a 440-yard, par 4, with a slight dogleg left fairway that is guarded on the left by a creek. Then the approach shot is to an elevated, undulating green which is surrounded by sand and grass bunkers. The home hole brings you through the trees to a well-protected green and a magnificent, welcoming clubhouse. An enjoyable challenge to golfers of all abilities.

Foursomes begin at $650 or $190 for individual player and include cart, greens fee, gift bag, range balls, sleeve of balls, breakfast sandwiches, and food and beverages at the awards reception. Only a few spots remain, so click here to register now. For more information about participation or sponsorships, please call 770-438-5233.
