Less than one week to go in the 2010 Best of Smyrna Vinings contest. It’s certainly been a big hit and we’ve had thousands of votes. Voting continues through August 31st, so if you haven’t placed your vote you still have time. This is a great way to support your favorite local restaurants and businesses.

Smyrna’s Birthday Celebration is bigger and better than ever this year.
Join Atkins Park Tavern and the other Smyrna Market Village merchants in celebrating Smyrna’s Birthday both before and after the fireworks.
We’ll see you from 2:00 – 10:45 with BBQ from Atkins Park, live music, a DJ after dark and carnival style rides…it’s a free event in conjunction with the Big Birthday on the Village Green! Blair Crimmins and the Hookers will be performing and after dark DJ Joel Rabe from Lethal Rhythms will take over.
And don’t forget about the free wine tasting at The Wine Cellars from 2-4pm today. Rene always has some great new finds to taste.
From 6-10 pm, there will be tons of fun on the Village Green as Magno and Banks and Shane perform, McEntyre’s Bakery is mixing it up a bit this year by passing out cupcakes and of course, the fireworks.

The Vinings Business Association will be holding their August After Hours networking event on Tuesday, August 17th from 5:30-7:30pm at The Grape at Vinings Jubilee, located at 4300 Paces Ferry Rd, Atlanta, GA 30339 in the Vinings Village.
The event is for Vinings Business Association members and guests.

The Wine Cellars and The Little Gym have paired up to offer you a parent’s night out! This is for any mom and dad, mom and grandma, mom and anyone – or dad and anyone. You can register your little one(s) to be entertained and well taken care of, while you enjoy some wine and relaxation at The Wine Cellars – right downstairs.
There is a $35.00 fee for the first child (and you can enroll a sibling and save $2.00). That covers the entire 4 hours – or you can pick them up early.
We will have our wine list available for purchases by the glass and you can always place an order at one of our Smyrna Market Village restaurants to have your food hand-delivered right to The Wine Cellars – and really make it a great night.
