The Smyrna Fire Department will open Fire Station 5 with a ribbon cutting and open house on Saturday, September 22nd.

The ribbon cutting will begin at 10am and there will be an open house until noon. Firemen will give tours of the new station. Refreshments and lunch will be served.

Smyrna Fire Station 5 broke ground on February 15th of this year. The $1.4 million project was funded by a federal stimulus grant and the city of Smyrna. The new fire station will serve serve southwest Smyrna, including Vinings Estates.

Smyrna Fire Rescue 5 is located at 750 Cooper Lake Road, just south of the East-West Connector.
