Hogtoberfest at South City Kitchen Vinings

It’s time to pig out at South City Kitchen Vinings’ second annual Hogtoberfest celebration. Executive Chef Chip Ulbrich has created a delicious pork-centric menu that features a variety of dishes from nose to tail. The following special items will be available (in addition to the regular dinner menu) October 11-20 only:

  • CHILI-CHEESE PORK PUFFS pork rinds dusted with chili and cheddar cheese powder 5
  • HOT DOG MAC & CHEESE housemade Frankfurter, broccoli rabe, dry jack fondue 7
  • PORK ‘N BEANS housemade andouille, corona beans, pickled pork 8
  • POTATO DUMPLINGS watercress, goat cheese, bacon gravy 7
  • LOW & SLOW PORK BBQ scallion-grit hoe cake, BBQ sauce, horseradish slaw 8
  • MUSSELS smoked green chili broth, linguiça, okra 11
  • BABY KALE crisp pancetta, early pears, pickled onions, asher blue, sorghum vinaigrette 9
  • CHEEK & JOWL braised cheeks, smoked jowl bacon, black bean feijoada, lemon plantation rice 12
  • HICKORY SMOKED BELLY pumpkin hash, hot and sour apples, roasted pumpkin seed oil 12
  • HAM STEAK mission figs, roasted sweet potato, red eye jus 11
  • ‘HAM’BURGER ground fresh ham and house bacon, pineapple chow chow, bacon fat mayonnaise 15
  • “HOG-ZILLA” SHANK buttermilk cider braised, mizuna, warm bacon potato salad 24
  • PORK PORTERHOUSE red wine marinated, pan fried cabbage, poached potatoes, ginger snap jus 25
  • BEEF & BACON MEATLOAF fried egg, sawmill gravy, mustard greens 16
  • PAN-ROASTED TROUT Brussels sprouts, crispy pork belly, caramelized pears, hazelnuts 21

The restaurant will also have available a variety of old-world German beers like Spaten Oktoberfest, Paulaner Wiesn and Kostritzer Schwarzbier along with great domestics beers like Red Hare Rabbit’s Reserve Oktoberfest, Abita Andygator Helles-Style Dopplebock and Mother Earth Endless River Kolsch-Style Ale.

They’ll also have a custom-cask of Watership Brown Ale fermented with North Georgia apples and Virginia maple syrup brewed exclusively for South City Kitchen Vinings.
