The City of Smyrna is hosting the 2nd Annual Run Thru the Forest 5k to help raise funds for organ transplant patients. This popular event will be held on Saturday February 27th, 2010.

All proceeds from Run Thru the Forest 5k will benefit the Georgia Transplant Foundation and be used for Cobb County residents who are facing expenses associated with organ transplant.

Your financial support of this very important endeavor will help to make a difference in the life of transplant recipients.

This event is open to all runners and walkers! If you would like to join the fun and get the shirt but don’t feel like you can participate in the race you can register as a “phantom runner”. Register by February 25th and the entry fee is $20; $25 on race day and $20 is you want to be a “phantom runner”.

forest-hills-smyrnaPark address is: 160 Legion Drive, Smyrna 30080. This is close to S. Atlanta Road & Concord Road. The American Legion is once again serving a great, hot breakfast after the Run Thru the Forest 5k on Feb. 27th.
