The Vinings Historic Preservation Society would like to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving holiday. There is no better place on earth than Vinings and we are very thankful to have such wonderful and generous support from our community.

The Board of Directors, along with some Vinings elves, will be decorating their three properties on Tuesday, December 1st. They will have shifts of volunteers working at 11:00 in the morning and 3:00 in the afternoon and they’d love to have your help.

They’ll meet at the Pavilion on Paces Mill Road and will be decorating wreaths to adorn the buildings, hanging lights and bows and they need a lot of elves to help with this! Everyone is welcome! Come for an hour or two or come for 30 minutes any time you can donate to help them will be greatly appreciated!

If you have any clippings from your yard, such as magnolia leaves, nandina or holly berries, please bring those with you. If you can’t help, but would like to donate some clippings, please drop them off at the VHPS office, Pace House or Pavilion on Monday or Tuesday.

Wear something bright and festive! The Marietta Daily Journal will be at the Pavilion at 3:00 pm to photograph all the decorating action!
