Great American Cleanup and Adopt-A-Mile
Saturday, April 18, 2009
8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
Meet at the Smyrna Recycling Center at 645 Smyrna Hill Drive
Be a part of the largest litter and beautification effort ever-the Great American Cleanup! As an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Keep Smyrna Beautiful volunteers have the opportunity to work locally joining two million other volunteers across the United States in the nation’s largest annual community improvement program. Individuals and groups are welcome!
In addition to the Adopt-A-Mile volunteers being on the roadways on the 18th, this year Keep Smyrna Beautiful is asking for volunteers to clean street signs throughout the City. Please call us if you would like to help with this project. Materials will be provided. T-shirts and lunch will be available for those who volunteer on this day. Pre-registration required!
Interested in organizing an event in your neighborhood? Keep Smyrna Beautiful can help you coordinate projects for the Great American Clean-up from March 1st through May 31st. They can also supply safety vests, gloves, litter pickers, and bags. Contact them for more details at 770-431-2863.
