River Line Master Plan
Cobb County Community Development and EDAW will be holding a River Line Master Plan public meeting from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 20, and Thursday, Mar. 19, 2009 in the Barnett Gathering Room at Whitefield Academy, located at 1 Whitefield Drive, Mableton, GA 30126.
Smyrna Vinings residents are invited to hear about the master plan, which will be a comprehensive set of policies to guide future improvements in the area through land use, economic development and quality of life enhancements.
The plan began fall 2008 and should end spring 2009. The study area is bounded to the east by the Chattahoochee River and to the west by Buckner Road. It encompasses southern portions of Oakdale Road and eastern portions of Veterans Memorial Highway. Most of the study area is within unincorporated Cobb County, however the southern tip of Smyrna covers some of the land tracts with direct access to Oakdale Road.
