Northern Italy’s diverse wine regions fan out below the Swiss and Austrian Alps from Southeastern France to Slovenia. The star of winemaking here is Piedmont (in Italian it’s p’yay-mon-teh meaning “foot of the mountain”) where Barolo and Barbaresco DOCG red wines are made. And, to a lesser extent Veneto known for its Soave, Valpolicella, and Bardolino.
Join us as we learn more about the wines of this vast region.
